Airplane 'Photo Op' Causes A Scare
A jumbo jetliner that serves as Air Force One, escorted by military jets, flew over Lower Manhattan Monday morning, frightening office workers and causing evacuations in what turned out to be a publicity operation approved by a unit of the U.S. Air Force.

At around 10 a.m. EDT, the Boeing 747 was seen flying low over the southern tip of Manhattan and at one point was seen circling the Goldman Sachs Tower in nearby Jersey City, N.J.

The larger of the two planes was one of two highly customized Boeing 747-200 series aircraft that serve as Air Force One -- when the Commander-in-Chief is on board. Technically, "Air Force One" is the call sign of any Air Force aircraft carrying the president. But President Barack Obama wasn't aboard the plane

One thing on your mind, get to the bus terminal and get on the bus and get home. Is that three things or one? No time to think about it, it's going home time....

Adele Kenny is the author of 23 books (poetry and nonfiction). Over 700 of her poems, articles, and reviews have been published in journals throughout North and South America, the UK, Europe, Australia, and Asia, as well as in books and anthologies published by Crown, Mc-Graw Hill, and Tuttle. She served as associate editor of The Antiquer: Fine Art & Antiques from 2000-2005 and is currently poetry editor of Tiferet: A Journal of Spiritual Literature.

Adele is the recipient of various honors and awards, including poetry fellowships from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. She received an award for the 2007 Merton Poetry of the Sacred Prize, honorable mention in the 2006 Allen Ginsberg Poetry Awards, and was a finalist for the 2006 Paumanok Poetry Award.

Anthony Buccino has published eight books including three poetry collections AMERICAN BOY: Pushing Sixty, Voices On The Bus and One Morning In Jersey City.

His poem Hands In Socks was named Editor’s Choice in the 2008 Allen Ginsberg Awards. His poem Ten Minutes earned Honorable Mention in the 2009 Allen Ginsberg Awards.

His work has been published in Paterson Literary Review; Celebrating William Carlos Williams and The Poetry of Place: North Jersey in Poetry; Rattlesnake Review (Poetry With Fangs); Medusa’s Kitchen; Voices in Italian Americana; Edison Literary Review; Journal of New Jersey Poets; CHEST, the Journal of the American College of Chest Physicians; The Idiom; MEWS; Raving Dove; More Sweet Lemons; The Poem Factory; and PowWow Review.

His first poetry chapbook, Days You Knew Me, was published in 1976. Buccino has written three books of essays based in and around Nutley and Belleville, N.J. He published two biographies of the men from his home towns who died while in service.
